Me-Made-May Day 23 - Monster!

5.23.2013

Monster on my shoulder makes me nerrrrrrvous.
Monster in my eye makes me cryyyyyyy.
Monster in my shirt is so cheeky.
Monsters almost always get me high?  No, maybe confused.
My apologies to John Denver and to orange monsters.  Today wearing another Hotpattern's sunshine top, I literally have at least a dozen of these.  This is one of my first from 2009 and features the longer sleeve included in the pattern.  The fabric was one of those lucky scores off of ebay where the print was great but the fabric also turned out to be soft and cozy. Gray + Bird = Happy Heather.

Me-Made-May Day 22 - Knit Queen

Bow before for me mortals for I am that Knit Queen.....
Hey what are you doing, back away you tiny monster.
How dare you disrobe me!  You will pay for your insolence!
Today's me mades, Colette Iris shorts and Hotpattern's Rivera once, twice, three times shirt.

Me-Made-May Day 21 - Snake Infestation

5.21.2013

Hmmmm, exactly how big is my snake infestation?
Maybe if I poke it with a ruler it will slither away
That didn't work, maybe I'll throw this lace over it's head.
Oh well, looks like we're just pals now.
Me-Mades today Hotpattern's Sunshine top short sleeve version and a repeat of the Hotpattern's boyfriend jeans.

Me-Made-May Day 10 - The Sewing Space

Today's theme Friday was your sewing space...... I didn't bother picking up.

Wearing Grainline Studio's Scout Tee and Hotpattern's Boyfriend Jeans.  Here's a decent pic of this outfit from last year.
Grainline Studio Scout Tee 2
These are two great pieces I wear a lot and plan to make more of this year. Hooray!

Me-Made-May Day 4 - May The 4th Be With You

5.04.2013

Happy Star Wars Day.....one does wonder how Lord Vader drinks his tea.
MMMay Day 4
Since it's a lazy Saturday I broke out one of my TnT patterns, the Hotpattern's Weekender Sunshine Top.  Several  new sunshine tops get made every spring, but this particular one is pre-baby and pre-coverstitch machine. (So it's about 4/5 years old)  It's a bit too small for my post baby weight and is made out of cheap rayon that pilled....but I love it anyway.
I lengthened the sleeves to 3/4" for this time of the year...... so cute they are. I'm comfy and kind of dressy all at the same time. BONUS!
Like a Renfrew once you get the hang of the steps you can sew a Sunshine top in a few hours. Get yourself the pattern and make some, hmmmmm.
